CSW69: Celebrating 30 Years of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action

The 69th Commission on the Status of Women (CSW69) marks a significant milestone 30 years since the adoption of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action, a bold blueprint for advancing women’s rights globally.

This year’s focus underscores the urgent need to accelerate action toward achieving the 15 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) linked to gender equality, with special emphasis on rights, equality, and employment for women and girls.

While powerful speeches and policies have been made over the years, the pace of actual implementation remains slow. The call to “Walk the Talk” has never been louder. With 2030 fast approaching, there is no time for delay- we must turn commitments into tangible change and measurable progress.

Representing Tender Hearts Foundation at this landmark event was our passionate Founder, Amb. Sally Othihiwa, who powerfully echoed the voices of underrepresented women and girls. Her participation served as a strong reminder that grassroots efforts are key to driving the global gender agenda forward.

At Tender Hearts Foundation, we stand with global partners to call for bold, strategic, and immediate action. Together, let’s move beyond words — let’s walk the talk and #AccelerateAction for a more equal world.
